Terms & Conditions

Stock-Item Returns

Parts Expert is pleased to offer 14-Day return policy for stock-items only*, not including delivery fees. A 20% restocking fee will apply for each item. The item must be returned in its original packaging and in sell-able condition. The customer is responsible for shipping, tracking and ensuring the returned package arrives correctly and safely at our warehouse. Goods must not be returned before written authorisation is received and confirmed. Any goods returned without authorisation may be discarded.

We define a stock-item as a product which we keep in stock in our warehouse. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to check with us if an item is a stock-item or not before placing their order.

Non-Stock Items

Returns are not available for non-stock items under any circumstances. Non-Stock items are products which are ordered in specifically from the supplier for the customer. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to check with us if an item is a non-stock item or not before placing their order, and to ensure they have ordered the correct product as advertised per the details on our online listings.

Cancellations

Placing an order is a commitment to buy. As such, any order that is already in transit may not be cancelled. Typically back-ordered non-stock items involve an irrevocable purchase contract with our supplier, which may not always be refunded. We are typically not able to offer cancellations for backordered non-stock items. However, in certain cases where a backorder is able to be cancelled with our supplier prior to being shipped to us, we may facilitate cancellations and refunds in goodwill.

Purchases of Electronic Products

Unfortunately due to safety concerns and the inherent instability of electronic components, the 14-day stock item return policy does not apply to purchases containing electronic components. Before placing an order for an Electronic item, please be aware that any electronic components purchased cannot be returned for Change of Mind credit under any circumstances.

Faulty Products

Returns are available for faulty goods within the supplier’s warranty period. To find out the warranty period, please ask us before placing your order. These returns must be authorised, with the fault accurately described to us as a part of the authorisation process.

Return of Incorrect Products

Ordering a spare part for your appliance can be tricky. Our staff are available to check product compatibility before orders are placed. It is the customers responsibility to determine if a product is fit for purpose prior to ordering, and to provide correct and complete appliance identifying information to our staff. As such, a customer’s at-fault purchase of in incorrect item (including where incorrect information was provided to us) is not eligible for a return outside the conditions above.

In the rare cases where Parts Expert is found, proven and demonstrated to be at-fault for the provision of a not fit-for-purpose product, a return can be facilitated through the usual return authorisation process.

Exchanges

Exchanges may be facilitated and authorized per the conditions above, stringent to the same rules as direct returns.

Shipping of Authorized Returns

Per Canadian Consumer law, the customer is generally responsible for returning the product if it can be posted or easily returned.
